H.E. M. Jamal Jama Al Musharakh

Permanent Representative, Ambassador

Jamal Al Musharakh is the United Arab Emirates Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva, and Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization. He is currently chair of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction Support Group 2025-2026.

He previously served as the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to The Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

He was Director of the Policy Planning Department at the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to that, he served as the Deputy Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations in New York. He also served as Commissioner General of the United Arab Emirates Pavilion at Floriade Expo 2022, The Netherlands.

He worked in the European Affairs Department, the UAE Special Envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan’s Office, and The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Office.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies with a concentration in International Relations from The American University of Sharjah, as well as a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Affairs with distinction from Zayed University.

In 2018, he was inducted to the American University of Sharjah Alumni Wall of Fame. He was Chair of the Board of the Diplomat Club in The Hague and Vice-Chairperson of the 27th session of the Conference of the States Parties of the Chemical Weapons Convention. He cochaired the Communications Working Group in the Global Coalition against Daesh.
He is a recipient of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Excellence Award. Ambassador Al Musharakh is also an International Gender Champion.
