Mykola Prokhorenko

was born on January 13, 2001, in the village of Anysiv, Chernihiv district, Chernihiv region, Ukraine. Education was obtained at the Chernihiv Regional Pedagogical Lyceum for Gifted Rural Youth, followed by a Master’s degree in Network and Internet Technologies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Volunteer activities started at the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, leading to the establishment of the NGO Pivnichna Horlytsia, with the role of Project Manager being carried out there. Since October 2023, professional duties have been performed as Chief Specialist at the General Legal Department of the Ivanivska local Community. The work focuses on building partnerships between international organizations and the Ivanivka local Community, as well as developing and drafting projects aimed at comprehensive community development and capacity building.

More than 20 projects have been carried out in the fields of security, education, culture, ecology, social cohesion, recovery, and youth policy, in cooperation with organizations such as UNDP, CIVIC, FPSU, Ukrainian Women’s Fund, UVS, ISAR Ednannia, Libereco, NUMO, AMCU, IOM, USAID, Women’s Energy Club, Women’s Consortium, UN Women, EGAP, IMIP, among others.
