In a world marked by profound rupture—from Gaza to Syria to Ukraine—the limits of military force as a means of resolving entrenched political conflicts are increasingly clear. Yet diplomacy is being eroded by the logic of force and short-term transactionalism. The global peace architecture struggles to meet the urgency and complexity of the present moment.

Against this backdrop, the Middle East stands at a pivotal juncture. A wave of international recognition of Palestinian statehood, growing diplomatic pressure on Israel, and renewed regional engagement have reinserted Israel–Palestine into the heart of global debate.

This dynamic, high-level dialogue will explore whether this moment can serve as an inflection point for a viable political horizon. The panel brings together Israeli, Palestinian, Arab, and European actors engaged in navigating the current crisis, alongside Dr. Helder da Costa, General Secretary of the g7+, who will offer comparative lessons from post-conflict contexts where international support and regional engagement helped chart pathways toward stability.

The conversation will center on two interconnected questions: what political pathways remain feasible in the Israeli-Palestinian context, and how these prospects intersect with wider efforts to reconfigure alliances, address legitimacy deficits, and prevent the entrenchment of zero-sum dynamics.

Speakers will engage in real-time political analysis and mutual questioning. Audience engagement will be central, with time reserved for questions and prompts to surface collective insight. Rooted in the urgency of the present, this session will avoid idealism and engage directly with the conditions required to move toward a new horizon.
