Come meet artist Erika González and discover her exhibition Minotaura at Geneva Peace Week.
Erika González is a collagist, journalist, filmmaker, and feminist, deeply committed to advancing women’s rights. Since 2017, she has campaigned for the abolition of prostitution in partnership with the Belgian organization Isala.
In 2022, she directed her first documentary, The Illusion of Abundance, which explores the fundamental role of women in defending their territories. The film was selected for 130 festivals worldwide and received 30 awards.
Her artistic practice stems from an ongoing inquiry into the place of women in society. Years of research have nourished her collages, which weave together the intuitive and the rational, the personal and the political.
