Senior Director of Programmes

Renée Larivière is the Senior Director of Programmes at Interpeace, where she provides strategic leadership and oversight for peacebuilding operations worldwide. She is also responsible for guiding the organization’s policy direction. With extensive experience in fragile and conflict-affected contexts, Renée has collaborated closely with diverse stakeholders to foster sustainable peace.

She joined Interpeace in 2007, bringing field experience from Peru, Pakistan, and Indonesia. Her earlier work focused on conflicts linked to natural resources, and while in Peru she worked with Grupo GEA and served as a Visiting Professor at the Postgraduate School of La Molina National University. She has also worked with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

A Canadian national, Renée holds a Master’s in Environmental Sciences from the University of Sherbrooke and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Ottawa.
