Lead, Conflict and Peace Unit, Office of Emergencies and Resilience at FAO - Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

Over twenty years progressively responsible project and programme management in agriculture and food security, with a particular focus on protracted crises, conflict-sensitive programming and contributions to sustaining peace.

Broad and varied experience delivering complex development and humanitarian projects, both normative and field-based.

Demonstrated capacity to work in partnership with member countries, (I)NGOs, UN agencies, IGOs, academic and research institutions, private sector representatives, donors and government entities.

Recognized ability working in joint teams (HQ/field) with strong individual planning capacity and decision-making skills, delivering substantive reportable results against agreed indicators, deadlines and goals.

Sixteen years’ experience working in the United Nations in a variety of roles, including Country Team Leader accountable and responsible for delivery of USD 172m humanitarian programme in Pakistan, 2009-2012.
