Selection Process Complete for Geneva Peace Week 2025
We are pleased to announce that the selection process for Geneva Peace Week 2025 (GPW25) is now complete. This year’s call for applications saw an extraordinary response, with 228 proposals submitted, a significant increase from previous years (2022: 80 applications, 2023: 90 applications, 2024: 120 applications).
The GPW consortium had the challenging task of selecting the top proposals from a highly competitive pool, in line with our goal of curating a rich and impactful programme under the theme “Peace in Action”.
As a reminder, we sought to feature 24 Peace Panels, 24 in-person Peace Workshops, and 3 online Peace Workshops.
Peace Panel: 115 applications
Peace Workshop (in person): 84 applications
Peace Workshop (online): 29 applications
This year also marked an expansion in thematic scope. GPW25 welcomed 24 different keywords, broadening the range of conversations and perspectives, up from 13 keywords last year.
Top 10 Keywords
Armed Conflict, Civilian Protection and Humanitarian Action
Children and Youth Empowerment, Peace and Security
Environment, Climate and Peace
Education for Peace
Human Rights, Social Justice and Inclusion

Selected organizations have now been notified. Over the summer, organizations will be working to finalize their sessions and meet in September with the organizing team during kick off sessions.
To all the organizations who submitted proposals but were not selected due to the limited number of available spots, the GPW consortium warmly thanks you for your interest, time, and valuable contributions. Your commitment to advancing peace is deeply appreciated, and we hope to engage with you in future editions.
That said, please mark your calendars! The full GPW25 programme will be released on Wednesday 17 September 2025.
Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for another inspiring edition of Geneva Peace Week.
